Preparation Method

  • Grate the coconut.
  • Soak the raw rice for ten minutes.
  • Grind together grated coconut, raw rice and extract it thrice.
  • Heat a heavy bottomed pan.
  • Pour the coconut extract, sugar and mix well.
  • When it comes to a thick consistency, add the colour powder, ghee and stir well.
  • Let it come to a very thick halwa consistency.
  • Remove from fire and serve.
