Preparation Method

  • Soak the dhal varieties in water for twenty minutes.
  • Drain and grind it with six red chillies, salt, asafoetida to a thick consistency.
  • Cut plantain leaf to the size of a steamer.
  • Spread the batter over the plantain leaf and steam for fifteen minutes.
  • Allow it to cool.
  • Crumble it with your hand.
  • Chop the beans and steam it.
  • Slit the red chillies.
  • Chop the green chillies.
  • Heat a broad pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Ad  mustard when it splutters add urad dhal,red chillies, curry leaves, green chillies and fry.
  • To this add the steamed beans and the crumbled dhal and fry for three minutes.
  • Keep it in a medium flame and fry for five minutes and serve.
