Preparation Method

  • Boil water in a heavy bottomed pan.
  • Soak tamarind and extract the juice.
  • When the water boils, add kothavarangai.
  • Pour the tamarind extract , salt and parboil it.
  • Remove from fire and dry it under sunlight.
  • When it is dried completely, store in an airtight container.
  • Can use the vathal in puli kulambu and vathal kuzhambu.
