Preparation Method

  • Chop the pumpkin into pieces.
  • Soak the dried beans for six hours.
  • Pressure cook and keep aside.
  • Dice the onion.
  • Slit green chillies.
  • Grate the coconut and extract the milk.
  • Heat a pan with 200 ml of water.
  • Allow it to boil.
  • Add the pumpkin pieces, green chillie, cumin powder, salt and cook.
  • To this add the cooked dried beans.
  • Let it boil.
  • Pour the coconut extract.
  • Heat a mini pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil, add  curry leaves, saute onion and add it to the gravy stir well.
  • Remove from fire and serve hot.
