Preparation Method

  • Chop the brinjals lengthwise, finely.
  • Grind the grated coconut to a fine paste.
  • Chop the shallots finely.
  • Chop the green chillies into two.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Temper mustard, urad dhal, curry leaves and green chillies.
  • Flip the brinjals and fry.
  • Add ground coconut paste, salt and turmeric powder.
  • Pour required amount of water.
  • When the brinjals are doneand the gravy thickens, remove from fire and serve.
