Preparation Method

  • Cook the potatoes, peel the skin and mash it.
  • Slice big onions lengthwise. 
  • Slit green chillies.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil, temper mustard, add channa dhal, curry leaves, green chillies, onion, tomatoes and fry.
  • Add water, turmeric powder and salt.
  • Bring water to boil, add the mashed potatoes. 
  • When it comes to a thick consistency, add the finely chopped coriander leaves. 
  • Remove from fire.
  • Serve as a side dish for poori.
