Preparation Method

  • Soak raw rice, par boiled rice, urad dhal and fenugreek for two hours. 
  • Grind it along with salt and keep aside. 
  • Chop onions, curry leaves and green chillies finely. 
  • Heat a pan with a tablespoon of Idhayam Sesame oil, temper mustard and urad dhal.
  • Add this to the ground batter.
  • Add the chopped onion, green chillies and curry leaves to the batter and mix well.
  • Heat the kuzhi paniyaram pan with a teaspoon of oil in each mould.
  • Take a ladle of the batter and pour it in each mould.
  • .  Drizzle a teaspoon of Idhayam Sesame Oil on each paniyaram. 
  • Simmer to a low flame, when the sides turn brown, flip over and let it cook until it turns to golden  brown.
  • Take the paniyaram with a skewer and serve hot with Tomato chutney or coconut chutney.
