Preparation Method

  • Soak rice. Drain it, spread the rice over a cotton cloth and allow it to dry. Pound it.
  • Steam the pound rice powder in a steamer and take the rice flour in a broad bowl.
  • Fill the kuzha with a layer of the grated coconut and above this add sugar and then the rice flour and fill the puttu kuzha.
  • Pour 200 ml of water in the puttu pot and place the puttu kuzha above the pot.
  • Allow it to boil, let it steam for seven to ten minutes.
  • Remove from fire.
