Preparation Method

  • Wash the brain and chop into four.
  • Dice the tomatoes finely.
  • Grind together grated coconut, cumin seed and chilli powder.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Saute shallots, curry leaves and tomato.
  • Add the ground masala and fry well.
  • Pour required amount of water.
  • Add salt, turmeric powder and stir well.
  • Simmer to a low flame, flip the brain pieces and swirl the pan hence the brain is delicate and tend to break easily.
  • When the brain is done and the gravy thickens remove from fire and serve hot.
