Preparation Method

  • Cut the chicken into small pieces.
  • Grind grated coconut, cumin powder, pepper, ginger, garlic and chilli powder to a fine paste.
  • Chop shallots and tomatoes finely.
  • Heat a heavy bottomed pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil, add shallots, tomatoes and fry well.
  • To this add the chicken, turmeric powder and fry.
  • Add the ground masala and fry till the raw smell goes.
  • Pour required amount of water and salt.
  • Mix well and allow it to boil. When the chicken is done and the oil separates from the gravy remove from fire and serve with rice.
