Preparation Method

  • Wash the chicken pieces and keep aside.
  • Chop onions and tomatoes finely.
  • Heat a pan with two tablespoon of Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Add coriander powder, red chilli, pepper, cumin seed, fennel, curry leaves and fry.
  • Allow it to cool.
  • Grind it to a fine paste.
  • Heat another pan with rest of the oil.
  • Add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, star anise seed, onion and fry.
  • Then add the ginger garlic paste, tomatoes and fry well.
  • Add the chicken pieces, turmeric powder, green chilli and fry for five minutes.
  • Pour required amount of water and add  salt.
  • Add the ground masala and fry till it turns reddish brown.
  • When the chicken is done and the masala coats the chicken, remove from fire.
