Preparation Method


  • Dice the brinjal and potatoes.
  • Grate the coconut.
  • Chop the onion and tomatoes finely.
  • Grind together green chilli, red chilli, one teaspoon of fennel, cumin seed, roasted chana dhal, cashew nuts and grated coconut to a fine paste.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Temper fennel, cinnamon and pepper.
  • Add onion, tomatoes and fry well.
  • To this add the ground mixture and allow it to boil.
  • Add the vegetables and keep in a low flame.
  • Pour required amount of water and add salt.
  • When the vegetables are done and the masala blends, remove from fire and serve.
