Preparation Method

  • Chop the vegetables and keep aside.
  • Soak the tamarind and extract the juice.
  • Chop the shallots.
  • Heat a heavy bottomed pan with tamarind extract and little amount of water.
  • Bring to boil, add turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt and vegetables.
  • When the vegetables are done,add sambar powder.
  • Simmer to a low flame for five minutes.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Temper mustard and curry leaves.
  • Saute shallots till translucent and add this to the kuzhambu.
  • Add jaggery powder and remove from fire and serve.
