Preparation Method

  • Chop the mutton into small pieces.
  • Pressure cook the mutton along with salt and turmeric powder.
  • Chop the shallots and tomatoes finely.
  • Split the red chillies.
  • Grind together grated coconut, fennel and poppy seed.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Temper with cinnamon, cloves, red chilli, cardamom, bay leaf and curry leaves.
  • Saute shallots and tomatoes.
  • Add ginger garlic paste, cumin powder, chilli powder, pepper powder and stir well.
  • Add the mutton, salt and stir well for five minutes.
  • Add the ground coconut – poppy seed – fennel paste and allow it to boil.
  • When it comes to a thick consistency remove from fire and serve.
