Preparation Method


  • Par boil rice. Drain and keep aside.
  • Chop the onions lengthwise.
  • Grind together tomatoes, ginger, garlic, green chilli, mint leaves and coriander leaves.
  • Chop the mushroom into two.
  • Marinate mushroom with curd, coriander powder, garam masala powder, chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder and cumin powder for thirty minutes.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Temper cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, star anise and fennel.
  • Saute onion and fry till crisp and red.
  • Add the ground masala and fry till the raw smell goes.
  • Add the marinated mushroom and fry until the mushrooms are cooked.
  • Cook until everything blends together.
  • Add ghee and cooked rice.
  • Simmer to a low flame and stir with great care.
  • Remove from fire and serve.
