Seer fish
500 gms
Tamarind

Garlic

Turmeric powder
1 teaspoon
Chettinad masala powder 4 teaspoon
Mustard
1 teaspoon
Cumin seed
1 teaspoon
Fenugreek
½ teaspoon
Curry leaves
1 sprig
Shallot

as required
Idhayam Sesame Oil
3 tablespoon
Preparation Method
Wash the fish and keep aside.
Soak the tamarind and extract the juice.
Chop the shallots, garlic and tomatoes finely.
Heat a pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
Temper mustard, add curry leaves, fenugreek and cumin seed.
Saute shallots and garlic.
Add tomatoes and fry well.
While frying tomatoes, add two teaspoons of chettinad masala powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and fry well.
Add the tamarind extract.
If required add water and allow it to boil.
When it becomes thick add the fish pieces one by one.
Sprinkle chettinad masala.
When the fishes are done and the gravy thickens, remove from fire and serve.
