Preparation Method

  • Cut bananas into 3-4 pieces. Place them in a steamer and cook for 15 minutes.
  • Grate half of the coconut and take a thick extract.
  • Chop the other half of the coconut into fine pieces.
  • Remove the outer skin and mash the bananas without any lumps.
  • Roast the cashew nuts and raisins in a tablespoon of ghee.
  • In a heavy bottomed pan, bring milk to boil along with two teaspoons of ghee, add the mashed bananas and allow it to boil for 10 minutes.
  • Add the jaggery and stir till it thickens.
  • Pour the thick coconut extract and allow it to boil for 20 minutes.
  • Finally add rest of the ghee, roasted cashew nuts, raisins and cardamom powder. Stir well and serve hot.
