Preparation Method

  • Wash the rice and drain it.
  • Boil the milk in a pressure cooker.
  • Add the rice and sugar.
  • Close with a lid. Place the weight, simmer to a low flame for 30 minutes.
  • Remove from fire and keep aside.
  • Roast the cashew nuts and raisins in ghee.
  • Add the roasted nuts, cardamom powder to the payasam and stir well.
  • Remove from fire and serve hot.
