Preparation Method

  • Powder the jaggery and keep aside.
  • Roast raisins and cashew nuts in ghee.
  • Extract juice from half of the pineapple (200 ml).
  • Dice the rest of the pineapple into 10 equal parts.
  • Boil four cups of water.
  • Add rice and pour pineapple juice.
  • Cook the rice till soft and mushy.
  • Add ghee, cardamom powder, cashew nuts, raisins and stir well.
  • Add the chopped pineapple just before removing from fire.
  • Serve hot.
