Preparation Method

  • Boil milk in a heavy bottomed pan.
  • Heat a pan with ghee
  • Roast, cashew nuts, almond, sara paruppu, pista and keep aside.
  • Add saffron and sugar to the boiling milk.
  • Simmer to a low flame.
  • A thin layer of cream forms on top of the milk. Transfer the cream to another vessel.
  • Don't stir often.
  • Allow it to boil until the milk reduces to half a litre.
  • As the thin layer forms remove it from the milk as often as it forms.
  • When the milk is reduced to 60% pour it over the stored thin layer of cream.
  • Garnish with roasted nut, cardamom powder.
  • Remove from fire and serve.
