Preparation Method

  • Boil water in a vessel.
  • Add the ada and allow it to soak for half an hour.
  • Drain water completely.
  • Rinse the ada in fresh water placing the colander.
  • Heat a pan with three tablespoons of ghee.
  • Roast the ada slightly and keep aside.
  • Dissolve jaggery in a cup of water and strain it.
  • Pour the jaggery water in a bowl and allow it to boil.
  • Simmer to a low flame.
  • Flip the roasted ada and cook until it thickens.
  • Add the thick coconut milk.
  • When it comes to a thick consistency  remove from fire.
  • Add the roasted cashew nuts, raisins, cardamom powder and coconut bits. 
  • Stir well and serve.
