Preparation Method

  • Clean the fishes.
  • Slit green chillies.
  • Grind poppy seed, fennel, ginger, cashew nuts and grated coconut to a fine paste.
  • Chop onions and tomatoes finely.
  • Heat a pan with three tablespoon of Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Toss the fishes slightly on both the sides.
  • Heat another pan with rest of the Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Saute onion, green chillies till crisp.
  • Add the ground masala and stir well.
  • To this add the chopped tomatoes, 200 ml of hot water, salt, chilli powder and mix well.
  • Allow it to boil.
  • Flip the fish pieces, when the fish is done and the gravy thickens, remove from fire and
  • serve with rice.
