Preparation Method

  • Soak moong dhal for two hours and strain water completely.
  • Grate the carrots.
  • Chop the green chillies.
  • Mix together carrot, green chillies, lemon juice and salt.
  • Heat a pan with a tablespoon of Idhayam sesame oil.
  • Temper asafoetida, split red chillies, mustard, curry leaves and carrot mixture.
  • Add the carrot mixture to the moong dhal. Stir.
  • Remove from fire and serve.
