Preparation Method

  • Heat a pan with ghee.
  • Add the vermicelli and fry till golden brown and cook.
  • Chop the onions finely, lengthwise.
  • Slit the green chillies.
  • Roast the onion in ghee till golden brown.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam sesame oil.
  • Temper cinnamon, bay leaf, cardamom, star anise, kapak buds, pepper and cumin seed.
  • Saute onion, green chillies, coriander leaves, mint leaves, ginger, garlic paste, peas, turmeric powder, cumin powder, chilli powder, nutmeg powder, curd and lemon juice.
  • Simmer to a low flame.
  • Sprinkle the fried onion, cooked vermicelli and close with a lid for five minutes.
  • Stir well and add salt.
  • Remove from fire and serve.
