Preparation Method

  • Soak rice and toor dhal varieties for seven hours.
  • Grind it along with salt, cumin seed, red chillies and ginger.
  • Allow it to ferment overnight.
  • Mix cooking soda and sugar to the batter.
  • Heat a dosa pan.
  • Take a ladle of the batter and spread it in a circular motion.
  • Drizzle oil to the sides.
  • Flip over and pour more of oil.
  • When the dosa is done, remove from fire and serve.
