Preparation Method

  • Heat a pan.
  • Dry roast moong dhal and raw rice.
  • Soak the fried dhal and rice for thirty minutes.
  • Roast the cashew nut.
  • Heat a heavy bottomed pan with ghee.
  • Temper cumin seed, pepper corn, curry leaves, add the soaked rice and dhal along with the water.
  • Add salt.
  • When the rice and dhal is done add the roasted cashew nut.
  • Stir, remove from fire and serve.
