Preparation Method

  • Heat a pan with ghee.
  • Temper mustard, when it splutters add cumin seed, chana dhal and add required amount of water and salt.
  • Allow it to boil.
  • Add the rice rava and stir well.
  • When the rava is done and the water is absorbed remove from fire.
  • Take small balls and make into kozhukkattai.
  • Boil water in a steamer.
  • Arrange the kozhukkattai’s in the idli plate and steam it.
  • Remove from fire and serve.
