Preparation Method

  • Parboil rice with salt and drain it.
  • Grate the mangoes.
  • Split the red chillies.
  • Slit the green chillies.
  • Dice the ginger finely.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam sesame oil.
  • Temper mustard, when it splutter add urad dhal, chana dhal, red chillies, green chillies, ginger, curry leaves, asafoetida and turmeric powder.
  • Toss the grated mangoes for five minutes.
  • To this add roasted ground nut, cashew nut and stir.
  • Add the cooked rice, simmer to a low flame.
  • Stir well. Remove from fire and serve.
