Preparation Method

  • Chop the mutton into small pieces.
  • Dice the onion and tomatoes.
  • Chop the mushrooms into two.
  • Grind the grated coconut to a fine paste.
  • Heat a heavy bottomed pan with Idhayam sesame oil.
  • Temper cinnamon, clove, cardamom, bay leaf, fennel, Star anise, nutmeg powder and fry.
  • Saute onion and tomatoes.
  • Add ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, kashmiri chilli powder, cumin powder and fry for a minute.
  • To this add the mutton pieces and fry for five minutes.
  • Add salt, pour water and allow it to boil.
  • When the mutton is done add the mushroom.
  • Pour the coconut extract, when the gravy thickens remove from fire and serve.
