Preparation Method

  • Wash and take the mutton in a bowl.
  • Chop the drumstick into two inch long pieces.
  • Dice the onion.
  • Chop the ginger and garlic finely.
  • Slit the green chillies.
  • Pound clove, cinnamon and cardamom.
  • Dry roast poppy seed and pound it.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam sesame oil.
  • Saute onion and green chillies.
  • Add chopped ginger garlic, mutton pieces and fry for eight minutes.
  • To this add chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, poppy seed, coriander powder, salt and stir.
  • Add required amount of water and allow the mutton to cook.
  • When the mutton is cooked three fourth add the drumstick pieces.
  • When the drumstick is done add the garam masala powder and stir well.
  • Remove from fire and serve.
