Preparation Method

  • Chop the palak leaves.
  • Dice the onion and ginger.
  • Slit the green chillies.
  • Heat a pan with a teaspoon of butter, when it starts to melt, saute onion.
  • Sprinkle two pinch of sugar.
  • Add the greens and fry for three minutes.
  • Pour few amount of water.
  • Add green chillies and ginger.
  • When the palak is cooked, discard the green chillies and ginger.
  • Allow it to cool.
  • Grind it in a mixer and drain.
  • Add water, salt and allow it to boil.
  • Sprinkle pepper powder and keep aside.
  • Heat a pan with a teaspoon of butter, when it starts to melt add maida and fry for two seconds.
  • Remove from fire. Pour milk and stir well without any lumps.
  • Heat again, simmer to a low flame, stir add salt and rest of the sugar when it thickens add it to the soup.
  • Serve in soup bowl.
