Preparation Method

  • Chop the onions lengthwise, finely.
  • Chop the green chillies finely.
  • Mix together onion, green chillies, curry leaves, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, cooking soda, fennel and salt.
  • Heat a pan with two teaspoon of Idhayam sesame oil, when it becomes hot pour the oil to the onion mixture and mix well.
  • After five minutes add the gram flour and rice flour little by little to the onion mixture and mix well.
  • Just sprinkle water and mix well to a thick consistency.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil, when it becomes hot, take a lemon sized ball of the batter, pat it slightly.
  • Flip it in oil and deep fry till crisp golden brown on both the sides.
