Preparation Method

  • Grind the prawns coarsely.
  • Chop the onion and green chillies finely.
  • Heat a pan with a tablespoon of Idhayam sesame oil.
  • Add ginger garlic paste fry well and allow it to cool.
  • Pound the roasted chana dhal and fennel.
  • Mix together ground prawns, roasted chana dhal and fennel powder, maida, ginger garlic paste, green chillies, onion, chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and red colour powder.
  • Knead and take a small ball of the prawn mixture and make into vadas.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam sesame oil.
  • When it becomes hot, flip the vada and deep fry till golden brown.
  • Remove from fire and serve as evening snack.
