Preparation Method

  • Chop the gooseberry to small pieces and grind it.
  • Dice the onion and green chilli.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam sesame oil.
  • Temper mustard, fenugreek seed, asafoetida.
  • Add green chillies, red chillies, fry well and remove from fire.
  • Drain the oil and grind it.
  • Mix it to the ground gooseberry paste.
  • Heat the pan with the drained oil.
  • Add the ground gooseberry mixture, salt, turmeric powder and stir well.
  • Simmer to a low flame and fry for five minutes.
  • Allow it to cool.
  • Store in an airtight container.
