Preparation Method

  • Chop the mangoes into long strips.
  • Add salt and mix well.
  • Spread the mango pieces on a clean cotton cloth and let it dry under sunlight.
  • When it is dried completely, store in an airtight container.
  • Can use the mango vathal for sambar, fish gravy, vathal kuzhambu and prawn gravy.
  • Soak the mango vathal in like warm water before use.
  • Can prepare instant mango pickle with mango vathal.
