Preparation Method

  • Boil 250 ml of water.
  • Add the lemons and cook.
  • Remove from fire and allow it to cool.
  • Chop into desired shapes and put it in the boiled water.
  • Slit the green chillies.
  • Chop the ginger into thin circles.
  • Dry roast salt and asafoetida.
  • Add the roasted salt, asafoetida, turmeric powder, chilli powder, green chillies, chopped ginger to the lemon.
  • Close it with a clean muslin cloth and let it under sunlight.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam sesame oil.
  • Temper a teaspoon of mustard and add it to the soaked lemon.
  • Heat another pan.
  • Dry roast two teaspoons of mustard, fenugreek and pound it.
  • Add the pound spices and stir well.
  • Store  in a clean air tight container.
