Preparation Method

  • Dice the paneer into cubes.
  • Chop the palak roughly.
  • Grind one onion, ginger and garlic.
  • Grind cashew nuts separately.
  • Dry roast and pound cumin seeds.
  • Deseed the capsicum and chop into triangles.
  • Slit the green chillies.
  • Chop rest of the onions finely.
  • Grind the tomatoes, strain and keep aside.
  • Heat a pan with butter, when it starts to melt add the ground onion paste.
  • Add chilli powder and stir well.
  • Toss the palak.
  • Pour water little by little, add the cashew nut paste and boil it for three minutes.
  • Add the ground tomatoes, cumin  powder, garam masala powder, colour powder, salt and  
  • boil for five minutes.
  • Add 200 ml of water and let it for three more minutes.
  • Heat another pan with butter.
  • Saute onion, capsicum and stir.
  • Add this to the fried masala.
  • Simmer to a low flame, add the paneer pieces and let it cook for two minutes.
  • Remove from fire and serve hot.
