Preparation Method

  • Rinse the palak leaves and grind it to a fine paste.
  • Soak the chana over night and cook it.
  • Chop the ginger finely into long strips.
  • Grind together peppercorn, green chillies and two teaspoon of cumin seed.
  • Heat a pan with butter and Idhayam Sesame Oil
  • Temper rest of the cumin seed.
  • Add ginger and fry.
  • Add the ground masala and fry until raw smell goes.
  • Pour required amount of water, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, salt, ground palak, Chana and let it cook for five minutes.
  • Remove from fire and serve hot with poori, chappati or parotta.
