Preparation Method

  • Mix together two cups of maida and salt.
  • Knead it to a smooth dough by adding warm water little by little.
  • Cover the dough with a damp cloth for thirty minutes.
  • Keep the three tablespoon of the flour aside.
  • Divide the dough into four equal parts.
  • Take portion of the dough and dust it with the wheat flour.
  • Roll the dough into 10” diameter thin circles.
  • Brush the circles with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Fold the circles like paper fan.
  • Swirl it from one side to the other.
  • Dust with the flour.
  • Roll into 7” diameter circles.
  • Make such circles with rest of the three portions.
  • Heat a pan, place the rolled chappati, drizzle Idhayam Sesame Oil to the edges of the Chappati.
  • Flip over when it turns brown.
  • Allow it to cook until golden brown.
  • Remove from fire and serve hot.
