Preparation Method

  • Combine fish, chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder and marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Heat a pan, dry roast cumin seed, fenugreek, fennel, red chilli and pound it coarsely.
  • Chop the ladies finger into 1 inch long pieces.
  • Chop the tomatoes lengthwise, finely.
  • Dice the onion and garlic finely.
  • Heat a pan with three tablespoon of Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Shallow fry the marinated fishes and keep aside.
  • Heat another pan with rest of the Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Saute onion and garlic.
  • To this add the pound spices and fry for a minute.
  • Add tomatoes and fry well.
  • Add the ladies finger, add garam masala powder, salt and stir.
  • Fry until everything blends together.
  • Flip the fried fishes, simmer to a low flame and stir well.
  • Remove from fire and serve hot.
