Preparation Method

  • Cook rice with salt, drain and allow it to cool.
  • Boil water, immerse soya for five minutes.
  • Wash in cold water and squeeze the soya and keep aside.
  • Dice the onion lengthwise finely.
  • Dice the tomatoes finely.
  • Heat a pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Temper cinnamon, cloves and cardamom.
  • Saute onion, green chillies and tomatoes for three minutes.
  • Add ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, coriander leaves, mint leaves, coriander powder, turmeric powder and fry for three more minutes.
  • To this add the soya granules, and ghee and cooked rice.
  • Simmer to a low flame and fry carefully.
  • Remove from fire and serve hot.
