Preparation Method

  • Dice the paneer into small cubes.
  • Heat a pan with a tablespoon of ghee. Fry the paneer pieces and keep aside.
  • Grind ginger, garlic and green chillies.
  • Chop the onions lengthwise finely.
  • Heat a heavy bottomed pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Temper fennel, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom.
  • Add ginger, garlic and green chilli paste and fry well.
  • Saute onion.
  • Add mint leaves, coriander leaves and fry.
  • Pour two cups of water and two cups of coconut milk.
  • Add salt and allow it to boil.
  • Add rice, simmer to a low flame and close with a lid.
  • Let it for fifteen to twenty minutes.
  • Add the paneer pieces, rest of the ghee, stir carefully and close it again.
  • When the rice is done, remove from fire and serve hot.
