Preparation Method

  • Pressure cook mutton adding turmeric powder and salt until soft.
  • Soak rice for ten minutes and drain it.
  • Slice the onions lengthwise.
  • Slit green chillies.
  • Slice tomatoes into six pieces.
  • Heat a pressure cooker with Idhayam Sesame Oil.
  • Temper cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and bay leaf.
  • Add the onions, greens chillies and fry well.
  • Along with this add ginger garlic paste and fry until raw smell goes.
  • To this add coriander leaves, mint leaves, chilli powder and tomatoes.
  • Now add the mutton and fry for five minutes.
  • Pour coconut extract, salt, turmeric powder.
  • Bring to boil, add rice and mix well.
  • Close the cooker, place the whistle and cook till the rice is completely done.
  • Open the cooker, add the ghee and mix with care.
  • Serve hot.
