Preparation Method

  • Marinate the chicken pieces with curd and salt.
  • Soak the rice for ten minutes and drain it completely.
  • Chop the onions lengthwise, finely.
  • Chop the tomatoes to medium size.
  • Cook the chicken and keep aside.
  • Heat the pan with Idhayam Sesame Oil, temper cinnamon pieces, cloves, cardamom, onion, green chillies and fry well.
  • Add ginger garlic paste, tomatoes, mint leaves, coriander leaves and fry.
  • To this add the coooked chicken and fry for three minutes.
  • Fry well and pour five cups water, turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt and allow it to boil.
  • Add the rice, stir well and close with a lid.
  • When the rice is done add ghee, mix, remove from fire and serve hot.
