Preparation Method :

  • Soak the wheat for 12-15 hours, drain and dry on cloth.
  • Pound it till the grains are flat.
  • Remove skin and boil it with the rest of the ingredients except onions.
  • Add sufficient water and salt and cook well, to a thick consistency.
  • Remove from fire and transfer into a serving dish.
  • Garnish with browned onions.


  • ½ kg whole wheat
  • ½ kg mutton without bones
  • 2 teaspoon chilly powder
  • 4 large onions - sliced
  • 2 teaspoon garam masala 
  • 1"piece ginger sliced
  • 8 flakes of garlic sliced 
  • 2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon jeera powder
  • IDHAYAM Sesame Oil for frying 
  • 250 ml milk
  • Salt to taste
