Preparation Method :

  • Mix the sieved flour with the melted ghee and salt thoroughly till it forms a crumbly texture.
  • Mix in the water and knead well. Adjust the water to make a firm dough.
  • Roll out the dough into even shaped lime sized balls and rest for about 10-15 minutes.
  • Roll out the balls into flat, thin, even shaped discs. Smear little oil on the dough will facilitate rolling.
  • Heat the oil in a fryer or round bottomed wok. Slide the discs in one at a time. When they puff up, turn them over and fry both sides till they are evenly golden. Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 475 grams Whole wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoon Melted ghee
  • 200 ml Water  
  • Salt, to taste
  • IDHAYAM Mantra Peanut Oil for deep-frying
